about

Always Seems To Fall
The 24 hour city and rain, always rain. The bustle of perpetual traffic around the Rio de Janeiro ring road on a trip in 2015 sparked this not very obviously Brazilian influenced song, my first day in South America had a tropical downpour of impressive proportions. Circular themes of rushing and life’s cycle and the pace of the 21st century came together with the rain, some unresolved chords and Manchester. Recorded at Seed Studios and Bryn Elwy

lyrics

Always Seems To Fall

A rapid blur of moments memories entwined
The past becomes the future leaves itself behind
Hourglass sands run out of sight time speeds they are gone
Inverted they fall again repeating ever on

Darkness falls out of the sky and wraps around the passer by
Splashing trough deep pools of light running home all through the night
On a night like this it always seems to fall
Splintered colours and fractured lives I see it all when I look outside and
On a night like this it always seems to fall

A constant swirl of motion an ever changing flow
A circuit of chaos the city is always go
A circle of transit running day and night
Unceasing movement a never ending flight

Darkness falls out of the sky and wraps around the passer by
Splashing trough deep pools of light running home all through the night
On a night like this it always seems to fall
Splintered colours and fractured lives I see it all when I look outside and
On a night like this it always seems to fall
