about

I See You Everywhere That I Go
A paranoia song, or a love song, or a song about obsessively paranoid love, each way works. This was written on 7th November 1989 two days before the Berlin Wall came down, there is probably no direct connection but the first EP had been played on the radio in Berlin a week earlier (thanks Lord Litter!) I See You Everywhere That I Go went into the live set immediately after writing and has been played live by every line up since then. The opening song of the first album, this was rerecorded during the Everything Changes sessions, at SSR and Bryn Elwy

The bonus tracks:
Evolution and change is an important aspect of The Speed Of Sound, from the beginning the plan was for the bonus disc to reflect the way a selection of the songs from the back catalogue on the current live-list were currently being played

lyrics

I See You Everywhere That I Go

I see you everywhere that I go
And I hear you every place I am at
Its no good I can't gt away
I see you everywhere that I go

I see you everywhere that I go
Its your voice on the radio
You're looking at me from the TV screen
You're there on the cover of Magazines
I hear you every place I am at
You surround me its a basic fact
Where ever I look you're sure to be there
Its tearing me up but you don't care
I see you everywhere that I go
There's no secret that you do not know
Where ever I am I'm here in your sight
I feel your eyes on me right through the night
I hear you every place I am at
Your voice finds me and it knocks me flat
I see you everywhere that I go
I hear you every place I am at
Its no good I can' get away
I see you everywhere that I go

Is no good I just can't get away
I look at you, you look at at me and it stays that way
You smile and wave but its not OK
You're watching me I'm watching you and it stays that way

I see you everywhere that I go
I hear you every place I am at
Its no good I can' get away
I see you everywhere that I go
