about

Seen It All Before
This is not a young person’s song, it is however intensely optimistic. The passing of time can make you think life holds no more untried joys, that experiences are numbed through comparison with the past and there is nothing left to be excited about; there can still be surprises and a renewed lust for living. Every day is a new page and should be grabbed and every drop of existence wrung from it.
Recorded at Seed Studios and Bryn Elwy

lyrics

Seen It All Before

I have seen it all before
And I know before it’s started what’s in store
No surprises anymore
Jaded and callous to the core

There’s more to this than meets the eye
More than words can describe
They shriek like harpies in the sky
Above a land so arid and dry

I have thrown it all away
Drove through the night to hear you say
There’s nothing left of yesterday
Only the future and today

I have seen it all before
But this is different I want more
I have seen it all before
But this is different I want more
