There’s No One There
The oldest song still in the live-list dating from August 1983. There are several previous recordings in addition to the second album version including a 2013 live version, it keeps evolving - it has to if you’re going to play a song for over 30 years. Written by a very anxty teenager the subject matter is endurance and survival and not giving in to the beckoning void. Resistance is never useless. This was rerecorded during the Everything Changes sessions, at SSR and Bryn Elwy

Evolution and change is an important aspect of The Speed Of Sound, from the beginning the plan was for the bonus disc to reflect the way a selection of the songs from the back catalogue on the current live-list were currently being played
